Originally stitched for and shown in the ‘Made of Snow’ exhibition held at the Franklin Arts Centre in 2016. This bumble bee was originally one of three little bees but ‘Refuge’ is the last one. It’s been hiding away in my studio but I’m now ready to release it into the world.
Hand embroidered with single strands of cream, white, yellow and black cotton threads on natural cotton fabric. Stretched around a timber round with a keyhole in the back. This piece is ready to hang on your wall, in fact, it floats a little (see photos). 6 inches across. It hangs well on a small nail, hook or pin.
